Banana porridge


  • 50g porridge oats
  • 450ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 1 large ripe banana – peeled and mashed
  • Pinch ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp honey or maple syrup, optional
  • Prep 1 min
  • Cook 5 mins
  • Serves 2

  1. Place the oats, milk and honey into a saucepan. Bring to the boil over a medium heat, then simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring throughout, until thick and creamy
  2. Remove from the heat and stir in the banana and cinnamon
  3. Spoon into bowls and serve hot

Enjoy with a 200ml carton of Tropicana kids

You can add any fruit. Try adding fresh raspberries or strawberries when they are in season. Blueberries or mango also work well. You could also add dried fruits such as ready-to-eat dried apricots or mango, cranberries or raisins or canned fruit in natural juice
